Robin Morabito is a sound compos(t)er, multimedia imposter and electronic scrap researcher, currently based in Reykjavík, Iceland. Since 2016, they releases music under the monikers Bob Hermit, Sy N’ Cope and more; in 2020, they co-founded the transnational independent label BohReal? Records. Main field of interest involve sonification, sonic interaction design, DIY approaches to creation. Their work explores what it means to be human and communicate in a hyper connected, information-saturated world. They use abjection, discomfort, and displacement to investigate human responses to aesthetic patterns. Currently working on few sonification works, a second full length album as Bob Hermit and a variety of DIY instruments and softwares.
